I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008 at the young age of 28. After having all of my reproductive organs removed, I was forced into menopause. Shortly after, depression, suicidal tendencies, lupus, and fibromyalgia set in. My life was over. Over the next 10 years I would go on to be placed on 19 medications, gain over 100 pounds, and prayed for my life to end every day. I had never played with my children, I missed so many family events, my children knew if they wanted to spend time with me they had to come to my bed because that’s where I lived my life. I decided it was time for a change so I went to the surgeon my dad went to and the rest of history. In just 8 months I’ve lost just over 100 pounds, I am have more energy than I know what to do with, I have a career, and every minute I have is filled with making memories and traveling with my family. I have a lot of time to make up for and I’m blessed to have the ability and energy to be able to do just that. Thanks to Dr. Scarborough, I have my life back!
