Bariatric Surgeons in Houston on Benefits of Band Revision Surgery

HOUSTON, TX–(Marketwire – Sep 12, 2012) –  At their Houston weight loss surgery practice, Dr. Sherman Yu and Dr. Terry Scarborough say band revision procedures have risen in demand amongst patients who are looking for further results in their weight loss journey or seeking to address complications that may have occurred during a previous procedure. While less than one percent of the 15 million clinically-eligible morbidly obese people in the United States undergo a bariatric procedure, the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) states that a weight loss operation may improve life expectancy by as much as 89%.
