Dr. Terry Scarborough is a native of Clovis, New Mexico. After earning his degree in Pharmacy and graduating with honors from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, Dr. Scarborough received his medical degree, also with honors, from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Scarborough attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, completing his surgery residency, followed by a year-long fellowship in laparoscopic surgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Scarborough authored numerous articles in the field.
